Claude Code: Build It, Ship It, Lock It Down
Thursday, October 29, 2026 (3:00 PM - 5:30 PM) (PDT)
Description
This event is hosted by a member of the Greater Irvine Chamber
Claude Code · Thu Oct 29, 3:00 PM · Irvine
Claude Code is Claude working inside your files and terminal instead of a chat box. You describe what you want, it writes the code, runs it and fixes what breaks. In this free, hands-on session at Right Click's Irvine office, AI Developer Conner Schnicker and AI Project Manager Devin Rost walk you from a blank folder to a deployed web tool, then through the security pass most demos skip: who can reach it, keeping secrets out of the code, and checking what the AI wrote.
New and returning attendees welcome, and Codex users can follow along. Bring a laptop and the idea. We send setup steps when you register, and we help anyone who needs it at the door.
Who it's for: Anyone curious about what AI can build. Developers and IT staff will go deepest, but you do not need to know how to code. If you can install an app and describe what you want in plain English, you can follow along. Never coded? Come anyway, we will pair you up.
You leave with: A working tool, deployed to a real URL, plus a one-page ship-and-secure checklist for the next project
Free beer, wine and energy drinks from 3:00, workshop 3:00 to 5:30. In person only. Open to everyone, so bring a friend or colleague along (each person registers separately).
