CMMC Crossroads 2026 | Presented by KME Systems and AICISO

What the September CMMC Update Means for DoD Contractors. The rules may be changing. Your readiness should not be.

The recent CMMC assessment pause has created confusion across the defense industrial base. Many manufacturers and contractors are asking:

• What changed?
• What still applies today?
• How should we prepare while requirements continue to evolve?

Join KME Systems and AICISO for an executive briefing designed to help defense contractors separate fact from speculation and build a practical path forward.

About this event

The Department of Defense paused CMMC assessments beginning July 13, 2026, for a 60-day period, with an update anticipated in mid-September. This uncertainty has left many defense contractors and manufacturers asking an important question:

What should our organization be doing right now?

Join KME Systems and AICISO for an executive-level briefing designed to help defense contractors, manufacturers, and supply chain organizations understand the latest CMMC developments and prepare for what may come next.

Our experts will discuss what the upcoming announcement could mean, common misconceptions surrounding the pause, and practical actions organizations can take now to reduce risk, maintain contract readiness, and prepare for evolving compliance requirements. The presentation will be followed by an interactive peer roundtable and Q&A.

Why This Matters:

During this executive briefing, we will cover:

• Why the Department of Defense paused CMMC assessments
• What is addressed in the September update
• How the latest developments could affect contractors and defense supply chain organizations
• Common CMMC misconceptions and readiness risks
• Practical actions your organization can take now
• Budgeting and planning considerations for compliance initiatives
• Strategies for building executive support
• Lessons learned from organizations pursuing CMMC readiness

Why attend?

The assessment pause does not mean that compliance obligations have disappeared. Organizations that use this period to evaluate their readiness, understand potential changes, and build a practical compliance roadmap will be better positioned as assessments resume and contractual requirements continue to evolve.

This event will give you an opportunity to:

• Gain clarity on the latest CMMC developments
• Better understand your organization’s potential compliance scope
• Identify readiness gaps and business risks
• Learn from compliance experts and fellow defense industry leaders
• Discuss challenges and best practices with peers
• Walk away with practical guidance, not a sales pitch

Who should attend?

This event is designed for leaders responsible for business strategy, technology, cybersecurity, operations, and compliance, including:

• CEOs, presidents, owners, and managing partners
• COOs and other operational leaders
• CIOs, IT directors, and IT managers
• Compliance managers and security leaders
• DoD prime contractors and subcontractors
• Defense supply chain manufacturers
